If I disconnect the battery cables and let all power down for an hour or so all works fine for a day or two. Then it becomes increasingly difficult to switch back and forth and ultimately won't shift at all. I also get 'check engine light', ABS lights which go out after disconnecting the battery. Has anyone actually found a fix for this. It seems to be fairly common in these small trucks.
