2hp pump. 230 volt. Has power to the pump and on main contacts, no power is getting to the capacitor or armature. wired it both tco 115 and 230... Switched the motor from 230 to o115 too of course...still nothing. The motor does nothing..doesn't even try to start. Do not think it has a pressure switch..the pump is primed, it's on free flowing well. Before I rip it off..wanted to check for any ideas..have had three electricians check it
I'm not real sure about the Flotec pumps as far as a plastic piece in the pump where you wire it that you have to pull out and configure for 110 or 220 but, if you definately have power to pump, The wiring is prety straight forward, split the 220, hook up neutral and ground. If you have done all this, you should get some action. Of course where you hook the wires to pump, is just aterminal(junction block). If a wire is broken or loose going from your block to your capacitor you would have this problem. If it had a pressure switch on it you would know because it would be threaded into pump housing with a plastic cover in it. Flojets marine pumps have a kind of internal pressure switch, usually on front of pump but yours would be a separate piece. The pressure switch would also have a bypass switch(lever), you could throw, to bypass it. It sounds like there either is no power, a 110 leg is missing, or you have dropped a neutral or ground. I could try to look up the model if you would provide me with a model number.
