3.0l. Why is fuel pump noisy?
The fuel pump used to make a quiet noise when starting and stopping, which I know is normal. The noise is much louder now. There's no difference in performance/gas mileage. Is the pump going out?

It could be that your fuel filter is partially plugged. You'll find the filter under the right rear plastic inner fender.
I expect it is due to the amount of additives in your fuel.
Any seals made of rubber dissintigrate in time using Bio fuels.
i just dont like the thought of the fuel pump being in the gas tank. The last time I replaced one it was on the front corner of the block and so easy to get to. A couple of bolts and that was it.
