3.3l v6 4 spd transaxle. shifts into low gear or " reset mode" intermittently. to correct we shift into park and shut off motor. wait 30-40 seconds and then restart. shifts fine for days minutes or hours. temp, atm pressure, vibration no effect. changed input turbine sensor and output shaft sensor..no difference. you can never tell when it is going to do it. just changed fluid and filter...no effect. what can it be?? bj
Check the wire harness at the TCM (Transmission Control Module) which is located on the passenger side fender. Inspect the harness where it's connects to the TCM, it's common for the pins on the wire harness to start to corrode or the pins may started to get loose causing your intermittently transmission issues. You can buy a electrical terminal contact cleaner at most auto parts store and if the pins are not to badly corroded, that's a good thing. If the pins are too badly corroded, then your going to have to replace or repair any or the corroded/ damaged pins.
Good luck and keep me posted, and thank you for using Fixya.
Keep up the great work and inspect the wire harness or the pins on the TCM. I know you can pick up the TCM and wire harness at most Salvage yards for $50.00 thank's the cash for clunkers program. You just have to go out to the yard and pick one out a salvage yard, just see what newer years are compatible for your Van.

Good job, and keep on smiling for the amount of money you saved from the transmission shop that wanted to put in a new transmission in for yha and most likely charged you extra for additional electrical problems.
Keep me posted and glad to see that you have managed to trouble shoot your transmission issues and all you have to do now is to address it and it looks like your doing a great job.
