The Epson 3490 is a flatbed scanner that has an optional business card/4x6 photo auto feeder. Do you have the optional feeder attached & plugged into the correct connecter on the back of the scanner? I have used it last month and it worked fine. I am guessing that dirt or some other issue is preventing the tractor devise is no contacting the photo and therefore not 'sliding' it into the 'return' slot.I have used it last month and it worked fine.
