Old non OE (Canon, Nikon, etc.) lenses do work in newer cameras, but: Aperture and AutoFocus might not work or might work poorly. As stated here: http://www.fixya.com/support/t2254178-am_trying_use_older_sigma_28_200_mm_f3_5
So it's not recommended. If it is a brand new lens, it should work with all current models, but there are no guarantees that it will work with future camera bodies.
