37 LCD TV THAT DOES NOT WORK. When powered on, the light on the on-off switch will show green(solid). If I try to use the remote to turn on, the light blinks, if I turn on manually, the light does not blink. I have changed the capacitors and 2074 and 2081 and this has not corrected the problem. I have read that I may need to change the zener diode at 6076(is in front of 2074). Would like your opinion to see if on right track or you think there is something else going on with this tv?

When you mean the light blinks, do you mean it reverts to standby mode? It is confirmed that there are some shorted components in the circuit. In addition to the diode I would suspect that you also have some faulty components that regulate the amount of voltage such as voltage regulators ICs, resistors etc., Replace the diode and if problem persists, then let me know and we will troubleshoot using a service manual.
