3D acceleration I downloaded and have the licensed version of a game called the Art of Murder - FBI investigation... I have all the updated ATI drivers in Windows XP... Of course I am running a Vision Xtasy 9100 AGP card my mother baord has no onbooard graphics chip, and is a Nvidia, Nforce3 250, with a Sempron 2800+ AMD CPU... When you click the Run Icon for the game, a window appears for Game Settings, it has to do with the Video Card and Sound... In that window I get a message that my video card does not support 3d acceleration, and there are blank options for choosing a Video Card, and for setting the color options associated with the game itself.. The game has a DirectX folder within the (program) Game Folder.. I have tried to figure out ways to overide this dumb game settings window but with no success I have also all the proper DirectX compents installed, (all tho when I downloaded the game I had no choice but to install the newer packages for DirectX) and I have also ran a DirectX Diag... to check if the 3d is working and it does... LOL this has angered me beyond high blood pressure. I have ran other games with 3d Acceleration without any problems.. I do not undertsand why this one game is acting completely stupid... I have done internet searches for this problem with 3d acceleration but all I get is linux babble.... I cannot figure out what is going on.. I have set everything in Ati's Control Catalst for full 3d acceleration... Any and all suggestions would be great, I will try out anything outside what I have already done to get this game to work... Thank you!!!!!
