4-port usb kvw switch #GCS634U
Hi,
I just bought this switch to run 3 desktops. I hooked up a logitech cordless mouse/keyboard MX3000 laser but it only switched computers once and then stopped. I called tech and they said cordless mice/keyboards don't always work. The website says the switch will work with most cordless setups. Any chance you know how to get this to work? Or, do you know of a specific cordless setup that will work?

The GCS634U is designed and tested to work only with a standard USB keyboard and mouse. However, most wireless keyboards and mice work with it, but they cannot guarantee any specific model or brand that would work correctly.
As you can see, this KVM switch is a bus powered device (meaning it only gets power from the USB ports of the computers). If the computer cannot provide enough power for the KVM switch to function correctly, then the wireless keyboard will be affected.
You may try using the IOGEAR GKM541RA. It's tested to work with the GCS634U. Or you may also try using a self-powered USB hub (meaning, it has it's own power adapter) and connect it in between the KVM switch and the computer. That self-powered USB hub will be the one that will add up power to the KVM switch and help it to function properly.
If the KVM is going to work with a wireless keyboard and mouse the single USB plug should be plugged into the keyboard port of the KVM. The ports should be labeled on the bottom side of the KVM. If the problem continues the best thing to do is try a wired keyboard and mouse in the KVM to verify that the KVM is in fact working correctly. I have heard that the IOGear wireless keyboard and mice combos have a good success rate.
