Make sure it's on level ground as there is a built in switch which inhibits operation. It doesn't take much tilt to throw it off, i.e. inclined driveways etc.. Make sure ALL switches are in proper position before pulling the cord and, oh yeah...make sure there's oil in it or it won't start!
