4210 Starts for a second and then stops
The power light shows green.
press any of the three go buttons and it sound like it wants to start but then stops and flashes the power button and the selected button 3 times slowly.
Then nothing

This will be one of, or both of, the following.
Bad battery will not take a charge and cause this condition.
NOW... Why will it not take a charge. either the battery is bad, and CAN'T take the charge the machine is giving. OR the charging circuit is fired on the main board. Sometimes a bad charging circuit will also cook your battery causing both to be screwed.
But it is a common problem with the board going bad. Some people purchase an external charger for the battery and then swap it into the roomba when charged. But this kinda defeats the automated controls. The fried charging circuit also will drain the battery when it isn't turned on. I have repaired a number of charging circuits on these units
