56 inch vivitek dlp tv that shuts itself off
The picture goes blank then shuts down, within a few monents it will attempt to restart, then procededs to shut off again. If we try to restart it the picture goes blank then the sound and back to shutting down again.
We have check the filter and cleaned it but that hasn't helped.
The lights on the front flashes in a sequence of 6 yellow 4 times then green, then an array of blinks,

I am not familiar with this brand but if it is not a heat issue, my hunch would be that either the lamp is not seated correctly or that the ballast is on its way out.
Ballast failures are quite common. You can buy one online.
Unfortunately I don't have a service manual for this set. Are you capable (willing) to open the TV up and start looking around inside?
Is this your first lamp? How many hours would you say you have on it?
I believe you have a bad main board..to replace it you would need to have someone come in and do the repair.or you can take it to a shop and have it done there . the main board controls everything on the tv and the flashes you are getting suggest a bad main board
Its the problem of capacitors getting heated on the main board that has to be checkred and replaced to make it clear.
