5th gear doesn't lock
I have a 1986 nissan langley exa (non turbo). the 5th gear engages and when i release the clutch the revs pick up but as soon as i press the gas pedel she kicks out of 5th gear and grinds the synchros. whats happened and how do i fix it ????

5th gear is gone, it'll be cheaper to find a good second hand one with a waranty than to get your one fixed sorry to say. The inside of gearboxes are only a place for gearbox specialists and they arent cheap unless you know someone.
