Yes, since the law was enacted that motorcycles must ride with the headlights on at all times, a lot of the earlier bikes were changed so that the headlights would come on when the ignition switch was turned to the ignition postition. Most people just added the jumper but some moved the wire making the switch a two connection only switch.
