77 with a safety no: jpb80wa label on it too. I suspect these are capacitors because the rest of the capacitors are labeled C as well and I know i've seen square plastic encased caps before. I have a picture of the label if that would help

Yes, pictures will help a lot, it sounds like they are ballast capacitors for the backlights lamps, they should be closed to the lamp connectors, one per lamps.
