795 dishwasher (not sure which version - its the one with the three black rubber buttons on top). The problem is that the 'ready' button's led light is continuously on green 'on' so I can't change the program select. Also when I close the door to automatically start the cycle - nothing happens ! Please can you help ? Thanks Mr. Arwel Jones

Hi Thanks for using FixYa. This issue can be either due to a faulty door latch or door lock switch which is not engaging itself. And, if the door latch will not engage, the dishwasher will sense it as open door and will not start the cycle. The light also blinks when the dishwasher detects a no-fill condition. You’ll need to get access to the fill valve by removing left panel, look at back to see where valve is when you get to it remove one of the wires and set meter to ohms setting and put a lead on each tag on valve. The reading should be about 3.6k ohm. If you don’t get a reading then the valve is at fault. I'll also suggest you to check the detergent dispenser solenoid for this issue. Remove the door panel and see if there is a round item at the dispenser assembly with two wires attached to it. Put the dishwasher into a cycle and when the noise appears, gently press on the solenoid to see if that is where the noise is coming from. Please check the following -- 1. Fuse (blown or tripped). 2. 120 VAC supply – wiring connection faulty. Repair or replace wire fasteners at dishwasher junction box. 3. Electronic control board faulty. 4. Motor (inoperative, check resistances). 5. Door switch (open contacts). 6. Door latch not making contact with door switch. 7. Touch pad circuit defective. You may also put a large quantity of tap water inside bottom of the dishwasher and close the door and turn it on. It will clear any dry objects from the dishwasher water pump and it will function normally. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance. Thanks Rylee
Try tripping the circuit breaker, and removing water from inside (if any). While power is off, check the drain well at the bottom of the appliance. Connect power back and see if the appliance works.
If the problem comes back after re-start, then there is a fault condition. In that case the machine must be tested.
Testing will start from inlet hose, ensuring that it is not kinked or blocked, and that there is sufficient pressure. After that , test float and pressure switch and pump. The timer board is the last part to be tested.
If you need repair or parts, call Tecnik at the number listed on the owners manual.
