If you just want to replace the needle / stylus, all you have to do is pull it out. It will be on there nice and tight, so be cautious. Don't pull the needle itself, instead, the housing where the needle is attached. This, in turn, is connected to the cartridge, which is connected to the tonearm. Here is a diagram:
