It sounds to me using your words that you have broken something. What you describe is that you have blocked the machine's pump - with a plastic bag, that's has ultimately blown the main board, the machine now runs rough because one or more of the phases has blown. To repair, you need to disassemble the pump and remove the blockage. which is very easy to do. You will need another main board, very easy to plug in, my advice is go to the dump and buy an old machine for $10 and scrap it for parts, most of the dumped machines will have faulty seals and you should be able to get a good working board. Otherwise buying a brand new board this will cost you over $200, you are looking at > $400 service job by having a tradesman repairing your machine. I might be on the cheap side.
