My cards were initially nvidia 6800 gt (2 of them to run 3 identical planar monitors) I have tried the following: 1. change setting in safe mode 2. go to display settings...settings...advanced...monitor...unclick hide modes This allows the slider on display settings to slide to 1600 x 1200 but monitor is still at 1280 x 1024. 3. Downloaded a driver from nvidia that is supposed to fix edid resolution problems 4. Mixed and matched monitors to DVI, VGA input...swapped cables...etc Any suggestions. From my surfing, it seems as though ther is an EDID setting problem in the monitor but changing this is not easy?

A Chip on the monitor circut board must be reflashed. You need to send back to Planar, do an rma. They were very responive to me, sent me a replacement.
