I had an older Ariens, but not the 932. If you have a separate lever to engage the auger, there is a safety interlock requiring you to hold down the lever on the handle bar. They don't want you to engage the auger, then stick your hand in the chute and lose your fingers. If you are holding down the lever on the handle bar, the interlock appears to be malfunctioning. Check to see that the mounting screws are not loose.
Your problem would be in a safety shutdown switch. some Ariens blowers have a two handed safety switch whitch is located on back of blower right lower side (inside of body) You have to remove 4 transmission pan bolts to see it. The other location is under the metal face plate between the handle bars. Some of them have a third handel on right side of handle bars that has to be depressed to run auger .
