94 Legacy Wagon stalls on grade
My '94 Legacy Wagon always stalls on steep grades when it's cold and intermittently stalls when it's warm.
It starts to strain on the steep hills then goes slower and slower until it finally stops. That probably takes less than 20 seconds. I can then immediately start it back up and it drives just fine.
In the attempts to fix this problem I have changed the fuel filter and the oxygen sensor but the car continues to fail on grade. I appreciate your insight into this problem.

Same problem on my Sub 91 Liberty. Changed the ignition coils and it went great guns for about 3 months but problem has come back, however the stalling isn't nearly as bad as before. Earlier I changed the alternator+battery, spark plugs and leads. This had no affect on the stalling. My fear of hills is returning.
Sounds like it could be some water in your Carb, i would recommend cleaning it out, Also it could a blocked air filter
