Im hoping this solves my problem cause my 95 eagle talon turbo will crank then will spitt sputter and backfire and go dead so im hoping the camshaft sensor is all it is ....question tho do i have to pull the belts covers etc off and reset the timing when i change the part out or is there a easy way of doing this

Car will fire but will not stay running.

I would start with the camshaft sensor because I have had this same problem in the past, and it has been the camshaft position sensor once, and the crankshaft position sensor as well. When they were failing, the car would sometimes sputter, and sometimes die, but start right back up. Good luck!

I have the same year and stalls out occasionally in the beginning and now I can barely drive a quarter mile. All of the parts you listed I've tested and appear ok but what I'm thinking is not fuel because it would act crazy gasping for fuel but the camshaft and crankshaft sensors. If either of these are failing then the engine stops firing and dies. Also could be the alternator or battery. If not enough charge then the car could die. Mine dies like I turned the key off (and don't think it's ignition switch) and gauges all just drop to zero still sounds like engine is sort of on until I finally coast close to stopping and then dies and oil light comes on.
