Hi, I've been able to clear most jams by unplugging it first of course:) Take the shredder off the basket and flip it over, using a Medium sized FLAT head screwdriver, try to clear out as much paper as you can that way. If it's still stuck, use the screw driver to carefully turn the shredder blades back and forth until they start moving freely again.
The best method to clear jammed shredders is to unplug the machine. With the head upside down, use tweezers and/or a tine flathead screwdriver to removes chunks of paper stuck in the gears. The first few pieces will be difficult to get loose but as you make progress, you will find it easier to get more pieces free. Do this until all visible paper has been removed. You can then take a can of compressed air and blow out the shredder to unblock any sensors. Then plug the shredder back in and try to run in reverse 1st. This will free the paper nearest the slot on top.
NOTE: Most shredders have a maximum run time prior to recommended rest. This period could be as little as 15 continuous minutes or as long as 1/2 hour on most shredders. If once you've removed all the paper you can't hear/see the motor run, it's possible the motor is seized and the shredder is no good.

Try to run the reserve 1st and then wait for 5-10 minutes to cool down and try to shred again.
Make sure you do not exceed allowed number of papers for shredding to avoid paper jams.
