96 subaru impreza 2.2l
For the last couple of days the car has been making a rattling noise, which I though may be a fan bearing or something like that. Then today it turned into a squeling sound and then to a grinding noise. Now also there is water leaking from what appears to the be the front of the engine (not the radiator but just to the right of the timing belt. In addition the engine is overheating badly.

Its your water pump. it has seized up, it would be on the driver side(left side when sitting in the car) or right if looking at it. Its behind the black timing covers. I would reccomend replacing the crank and cam seals, resealing the oil pump, new timing belt and pully kit to save you a headache down the road or it could end up costing you much more money in the long run.
