98 taurus with a battery-dying overnite problem
I hooked up a test light between the neg. cable and post on the fully charged battery, and its bright and pulses. I hear a clicking sound inside the car, sounds like from behind the dash, by the steering column thats in sync with the pulsating light bulb. So i wiggled the turn signal lever, pulled it as if i was appliying the high beam, and it would stop....temporarily. It would also stop when i would apply the hazard warning switch, though the light was still pulsing but at a greatly reduced brightness. Then i hooked up a meter in place of the test light, and i pulled almost as much voltage as the battery being fully charged! So i started to remove the fuses, one by one, under the hood and when i found out the number one 40 amp fuse pulled, stopped all draw, thats where i'm at now. Any ideas what to look for or resolve this problem?

Electronic flasher unit ! The 40 amp fuse supply's B+ voltage to the inside the vehicle fuse box .
Pull fuse # 15 in the inside fuse panel .10 amp turn signal fuse . an fuse #29 hazard 15amp .
