A 2014 Chevrolet Malibu sounds like its revving up while driving the the tack gauge shows it at 2000 RPMS and doesnt go up anymore, any ideas on what could be the problem?

Really not enough information to troubleshoot. For example, when this happens is the car at constant speed without you changing the gas pedal position, and if so, how fast are you going? To hazard a guess at this point, could be your transmission is either slipping or the car is at a speed shift point (e.g. around 40 mph) and it thinks it should be briefly downshifting.
