When I key up I can hear a low volume buzz which those who are receiving my signal say almost overwhelms the transmission. This does not happen when I'm receiving
This is nearly ALWAYS caused by (A) A poor connection with cabling that is too small or long for the amp draw when transmitting, or (B) Low battery voltage or alternator output.
I'd check the power and ground cables first, and use a cable gauge at LEAST one size bigger. Good luck!
Sorry, I didn't know about your hookup to the 23A supply. There's the source of your problem. -Good Luck!EDIT- Sorry, I didn't know about your hookup to the 23A supply. There's the source of your problem. -Good Luck!
(EDIT EDIT)- Richard there are only two ways that I can think of to get rid of your hum from the power supply. The cheap way would be to try a 3-prong to 2-prong AC adapter to lift the AC ground. Try that first and if you get no joy, you'll have to get a REGULATED 5-7 amp power supply.
