Hi i'm Rain. Ok there are only 3 sounds you will here from your computer laptop.
You will hear the fan running.
You will hear the HardDrive running.
You will hear a CD-rom drive running. Wheather its a DVD or CD-RW.
You will need to turn it over and listen from the bottom. If there is venting then more than likely its the fan. If its where the Media drive like i mentioned {DVD/CD-rom}. Then thats your sound. If the sound is coming from an area that you can't visually see something that it could be. Then its your hard drive. To resolve the problem you will need to first locate and name the item that is making the sound. Follow the steps i have given you and locate the source of the sound.
Ok the Harddrive shouldn't make a sound other than a soft wheezing sound letting you know that it is spinning..
yes you will need to back up your drive and replace it.
Anytime your Hard Drive is Making Alot of noise more than likely something is very wrong and it needs replacing. Also if your in need of a HardDrive I also sell computer parts and give technical support step by step how to replace them.Ok the Harddrive shouldn't make a sound other than a soft wheezing sound letting you know that it is spinning.. yes you will need to back up your drive and replace it.
