A plastic ring has disintegrated inside the top of my nailer. it goes around the metal seal (Part #: 904748). which part is that?
It is not a black rubber o-ring. I'm thinking its the collar,Part #: 904749 I'd really like to get this thing going for less than the $80 rebuild kit cost. does anyone know if the kit includes these parts?

Part #904748 is a metal headvalve piston . It has two orings, one outer and one on the inside. It also has a vinyl seal part #904749 that is known to break apart. Most likely the part that you need. Also check that the center vinyl seal is not cracked , part # 904750.

Thank you John! I replaced the collar and the vinyl seal, cost about $30 total, and it works like a champ!
Btw- the overhaul kits do not include these parts- just o-rings.
There is a youtube video showing how to install the overhaul kits. Very helpful!
