First remove the the spring loaded rod that keeps the staples in place and tight, if you can see any part of the jammed staple , grab it with pliers or vice grips and pull it out any way you can , might be more than one staple jammed too, turn stapler upside down to dump out any loose staples and debris , keep working until she frees up , if you still cant get it out might have to loosen screws up that hold it together, a little light lubricant will be good for it too . then load it back up with staples and put tension rod back in, i always try to keep it full of staples at all times ,like when it gets 2/3 empty , fill it up, this will ensure good tension on the business end of the staples!!
