You did not state if this is a new or used motherboard or if it has been set up for a while, if this were a new set up and I would not loose any or much data, I might just buy a new board, this one is not that expensive.Provided that the monitor is operating properly, the problem could be the on board video on your motherboard. If you have the ability to check the monitor on another computer, I would check that first to isolate the problem. If the monitor is working, I would then look at the motherboard or possibly the video drivers for the motherboard. I have at times had to install, even if only temporally, a video, or ethernet card on a motherboard until I could check the function of all of the motherboard components or download drivers to get them operating. The problem with having no video is that I am unable to look at the system properties to check the function of the system hardware. I would start with a video card, even if I had to buy an inexpensive one just to check the system.
