ABIT GD8 Pro
Hello, my name is Ervin Bartha i got a system with an Abit GD8 Pro MB the videoboard is(new) in PCI bus the memory is (new) Kingmax 1Gb on 800.
When i try to switch on the system nothing happens on the monitor, tryed with several videoboards also in PCI-E bus.
When i take out the memory module i receive the beep alerts that the memory is missing, The cooler on the CPU is ok(working) no HDD or CDrom is connected.
If someone got any help please post it.

Alright, this sounds like the board was DOA (Dead on Arrival). Unfortunately it sounds like you will have to contact ASUS and request an RMA or a refund. This has been happening more often with ASUS products recently and is definitely a pain.

You might give their tech-support a shot, just to ensure that it's not DOA. However this seems to be the case and will require you to either get a refund or replace (RMA) the board.

Hmmm. Strange. Did anyone touch it before discharging static electricity? There's the possibility some sensitive part of the board got messed up by a directional flow of electricity heading in the wrong direction.
Yes, that is quite strange. Have you contacted ASUS asking them if they have ever encountered such an issue or if they know how to fix it?
