Go into the bios and use the "set bios to default" option There is another that is used for more speed orientated setting but at this point fo not use it.
Also check the memory settings them selves and set them for auto where possible
If you mean that it hangs when counting the memory then try the ESC key as it is booting to get past the memory check and then use DEL to get into bios
