About 1 week ago our produce had ice on it so we turned the temperature, which was in the middle, to the slightly warmer side. Last night there was a puddle of water on the floor and the back interior wall of the freezer was covered in ice. Both the freezer and the refrigerator quit working. Can this be fixed or is it a lost cause?

I would check your icemaker fill tube in the back. It sounds like it may have came out of place this would dump water onto your evaporator coils causing them to ice up. This will stop all airflow in the unit causing it not to cool properly. you can remove the back panel of the freezer and look at the coils if they are covered in a block of ice you will want to turn the water off to the icemaker at the saddle valve. Shut the unit down for 24 hours with the doors open to allow the ice to thaw and then put the fill tube back in place. This should correct your issue. Let me know what you find. _MJ_
