Acer Aspire S3 391-6448 The battery is dead wont charge, wont turn on with plug either. Worked with plug last time now nothing. Will replacing the battery fix this or do I have other problems?

plug in power adapter
does acer power on ?
if no then power pack may be faulty or power point not switched on . plug a lamp into power point see if it works ?
