Actiontec MI424 and Direct TV DVR
I cant figure out why but my DVR is hooked up through an ethernet cable to my router. The DVR says is has an IP address (so it must see my network) but its unable to connect to the internet so I can access the on demand stuff. I'm guessing I have to change my router settings, but verizon and direct tv both say I have to talk to the other. Can someone please help?

Your DVR need to be set at 71.182.140.*** *** meaning an available address. Then they will connect.
What is make and model number of the DVR?
I don't think that the gateway address. What happens when you type in 192.168.0.1 into your internet explorer browser?
71.182.140.27 I bet is the DNS.
What operating system are you using?
