I have two adapters one works one doesn't which i useless to me as i need a second one for the cd attachment when i plug in another adapter to the genesis the light comes on but i get a blank screen yet when the genesis adapter is in the system works fully

the other adapter is a nintendo one and has the same output as the genesis one why wont it work?
