ADAPTER OR BATTERY
MY PRESARIO V 2000 WILL NOT POWER UP WITH AC ADAPTER OR BATTERY. THE AC ADAPTER HAS 18.5 VOLTS AT THE OUTPUT The battery is not getting charged and its eventually empty now but if I try to plug the Power Cord in it doesn't charge. It's not the battery becuase its a new one and so we assume it's the AC JACK can someone help me!?

Hve u tried a differnt adaptor , the adaptor might be blown too ,try replacing the adaptor , also check for the power cord if it has any kinks in it which may be interrupting the power supply , since the adaptor 18.5 v 3.5 a is the most common of all hp adaptors u should find one to try .
