Remove the program in add/remove programs for windows XP and under programs and features under Vista and Win 7. both of which are in control panel. Go to this website and download/purchase this: http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/ install this program and follow the instruction manual downloaded here: (Copy and paste into your browser) http://www.acronis.com/download/docs/atih2001/userguide This is the best backup and recovery software on the market. Software causing Hardware Fault, it's getting more and more common. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software? This is out of context and of noones recommendation other than my own but I would recommend using "Macrium Reflect" for backups as it will create images of the entire hard drive or just parts and pieces, whatever you select and once setup will do it at whichever intervals you prefer (daily, weekly, monthly). It can backup to remote locations or onto a local hard drive and is fairly easy to use. Now back onto the main question: Try this; 1. Uninstall the application 2. Locate teh folder it was in if it's still there and delete it. 3. Reinstall the Application 4. Configure it to backup to a hard drive (Not the same drive as the Operating System) Please do tell me if any of this was helpful and if not I will do my best to help further.
