Adding a pull rope
While adding a new pull rope I found a part that I can not determine where it goes. It is a flate piece of metal, about 4 inches around, with a 3 inch hole in the middle. It reminds me a of a gasket, except it is made of a shinng metal. Where does it go. Is there any where I can get a diagram of the parts?

Well to msactual your pull cord assembly is not put together, did you wind the recoil spring tight enough? sounds like your "gasket' is a spacer like smith said.
