On your Ranger I suggest checking 2 things. First check the brake pads, to be sure there is plenty of lining left. You could have a wear indicator making noise. Also make sure the metal dust shield on the backside of the rotor is not touching the rotor. If nothing is found remove the brake pads and turn the rotor by hand. If the noise is still present I suspect the bearing seal in the backside of the steering knuckle may be your problem, as these get dried up and squeal.
The door ajar switches are inside the door and attach to the bottom of the door latch. There is no adjustment. Usually the drivers side is the one that gets stuck. Try spraying WD40 into the door latches and letting it soak awhile, then open and shut the door several times. Sometimes this will cure the problem. Otherwise replacing the switch will be needed to repair.
