How have you determined that the installation was unsuccessful? Are you simply unable to view flash content? Or have you checked to see what's listed in the active x add-ons in your browser? In Internet Explorer, for example, go to Tools, Manage Add-ons, and look to see if there is an active -x control from Adobe Systems, enabled or disabled, called Shockwave Flash Object and a version number. If you find this, flash is installed on your system. Make sure it is enabled. Be aware that you may need to be running your system as a user with administrative rights to install Adobe Flash player. If that's all in order, please follow these steps to workaround your issue:
Please check to make sure your system meets the requirements for installation of the latest flash player, by going to this link and comparing to your system information. For current Flash Player system requirements, visit http://www.adobe.com/go/flashplayer_sysreq_en/
Follow these steps in order: Troubleshooting flashplayer installation: http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_19166&sliceId=1
That should have taken care of it! If not, Download and unzip Install_Flash_Player_10_ActiveX.zip. Extract this executable file to your desktop, close all applications, and run it from there.
To confirm your installation, go here: http://www.macromedia.com/software/flash/about/
If that fixed your issue, great! If not, please report back with details about the error messages you are receiving and give me some details about your system and I'll try to walk you through.
If I've been able to answer your question or solve a problem, please take a moment to kindly rate this post....thanks!
