Adobe Photoshop 5.0 LE problem
Photoshop 5.0 LE stopped working a day or so ago. The main screen would open but with a blank panel and unresponsive. I uninstalled the program and upon trying to re-install it found the setup.exe program does nothing.
I'm running XP Multimedia with the latest MS updates as of today. The machine is an HP with an AMD 64 3500+ processor and 2Gb of RAM.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Do system restore to a date before you had the problem, then reinstall photoshop.
Ensure photoshop disk is not scratched, dirty or faulty.

Before starting System restore close all this running applications.
You can start System restore from start menu:
1.
Click Start.
2.
Point to All Programs.
3.
Point to Accessories.
4.
Point to System Tools.
5.
Click System Restore.
6.
Follow the instructions on the wizard.
You can also start system restore to create a restore point before making an important change to the system.
For example you can decide to create a restore point before installing a new anti virus, or downloading Internet Explorer update.
