Have had car 2 years ,emmission light comes on ,garage just switches it off as new cat.converter expensive.no real prob. till now .Mechanic friend advised adding Diptane additive with petrol to burn off residues.Garage could find nothing wrong except lamda oxygen sensor on manifold not working,tho they said its not affecting performance.Whats the light on rhs side of dashboard?is mentioned in posts.also is it a chainbelt .help!

Honda's have an Intermittent DISTRIBUTOR ISSUE that you would need to have replaced. Ford and Chevrolet BOTH have Ignition Module problems and replacing it fixes the issue., ALL cars have Requirement for FUEL PRESSURE. If there is a Blockage of Fuel then it will die and then in less than a minute, you can start the car. This is common Fuel Filter Blockage issue., WHAT is the YEAR/MAKE/MODEL and ENGINE for your car?
Car is a Suzuki Liana 1.6 petrol.2003.I've ha it 2 years,emissions warning light is on and garage switches it off.
