Disc brakes always get hot. If it seems like one of them is excessively hot , you might have a seized brake caliper. The light comming on is probably unrelated.
This has me a bit stumped. I can't understand why or how the light is comming on. Still think you might have a caliper problem , but what you describe makes it sound like the brakes are being applied even though you are not stepping on the pedal. A deffective brake booster might do that , however I have never seen that happen. I am not sure of the inner workings of an ABS control module , however I don't think it would have the ability to apply the break. ( I could be totaly wrong ) I think you should talk to someone at a brake shop. This has me a bit stumped. I can't understand why or how the light is comming on. First jack up the car fit safety stands, take out of gear and release park brake, spin the wheels by hand to see if the ere free, you should be able to turn them . Check master cylinder fluid and top up, if low light will come on . If the light remains on check and reset switch on side of master cylinder.

No its not the anti lock i think it is the caliper sticking and causing the brake to ride on the rotor causing the heat.
