After changing the maf sensor was failing my subaru

For a strange reason a blow broke the maf sensor, the light turned on but the car worked almost normal. I bought one on ebay for $ 50.00 and as soon as I installed it, the car began to fail. As soon as I unpluged the maf the car worked normal again but without the Maf.
