As long as something works, it isn't the fuse. If the machine is totally dead, then it's the fuse. The plate and other components must be clean and dry. The plate must be totally free of debris, oil, and defects. (Did you clean it with ammonia/water 50/50 ONLY? Did you thoroughly air dry it? Is it perfectly whole, with no burned spots, loose portions, broken wire strands, cracks, lint?) If the plate passes inspection, and if you know they're reinserted correctly into the little "tracks" at the top and bottom you can reset the "perform cleaning" message. Try pushing the little black "reset" button that is located on the right side of the machine between the other manual controls. Then turn the machine off, using your remote or the o/- switch at the back of the machine. After a minute or two, turn the machine back on and see if that solved the problem. If not, then the problem is probably with the computerized controls, which can only be serviced by Vollara (the new name for EcoQuest). Call them at 1-800-989-2299, ask for repairs, and give #16618 as your dealer referral number (unless you purchased the machine from an authorized dealer with whom you are still in contact.) Hope this helps.
Had a "Totally Dead" machine that was caked with grime from a smoker's room who didn't clean it for years. after cleaning, the faceplate buttons were dead and the light and fan tried to start but just flickered. So it wasn't the fuse.Had a "Totally Dead" machine that was caked with grime from a smoker's room who didn't clean it for years. after cleaning, the faceplate buttons were dead and the light and fan tried to start but just flickered.
