After decalcifying I have started Rinse cycle and machine started shutting down. I have a fuse in the power outlet it is shutting down after 2-3 sec of rinsing. Any idea what maybe wrong?
I cannot view the comments of the expert who recommended replacing the seals. I assume the replacement for seals and O rings is required only if the unit is leaking water or steam.
I don't think replacing seals can be done without proper tools and expertise. Best left to the technician. This is a reasonably sophisticated equipment.
I understand that during descaling of this unit you have to exercise a lot of caution and use the right ingredients and follow the instructions carefully. Not sure whether you ran the descaling as part of regular maintenance or if the unit had a message for you to run the descaling.
Fuse in the power outlet must be tripping either because the machine is causing an electric leakage (which will trip the earth leakage detector) or the motor is drawing too much current and tripping the circuit fuse.
One option might be to restore the machine to factory default settings (page 36 of manual) and see if you can then select the Rinse cycle after cleaning and refilling the water tank. (at item 8 of section 11 )
do post a comment if you are either able to replace the seals as suggested by other expert or repeat the rinse process.
Hi Something is shorting inside. It could be one of the seals in the steam boiler. descaling solution and heat will cause them to get hard and shrink. Are you using the descale program in the menu? Right now you can replace the seals and probably be good to go. What is your water hardness set on in the menu? It should be set on 4. The first thing you need to do is go to your menu. Scroll down to water hardness and push the enter button. Use your up arrow and move the number to 4 if it is not already there. Push the enter button. Once it is on 4, then scroll up to descale machine and push enter. Have your solution (NOT VINEGAR) Citric Acid dissolved in solution and put into water tank. Now open the knob for steam and let the machine do its thing. When it is all done it will say “Finished descaling”. Rinse out the water tank and put in fresh water. Close the knob and then reopen it again. When it finished rinsing scroll down to "Reset Descale" Push enter and choose "Yes" with the arrow and push enter. This will bring up a message when it needs to be descaled again. You can also see how many coffee's you have made. It’s just above the Descale Machine in your menu. Descale more often than Not Enough will keep your machine working well into the future. Let me know if you need more help?
