After receiving this particular chair I had surgery and was not able to operate chair with my hand. The batteries were brand new and fully charged at the time but now have sit for almost a year. Now that I am able to use the chair I am unable to charge the batteries. When I connect the onboard charger I have a orange light on top of the charger that blinks and a red light directly under the blinking orange light that stays lit. I have let it charge overnight and it does not appear there is any charge to the batteries. Would brand new batteries become unchargeable?

Imwaltz Sorry buddy but if it sat that long the batteries are probably too low for the charger to pick up and charge. to bad you didn't just charge those batteries once a month while you were laid up. You will have to get new batteries. If Medicare paid for your chair they will pay for most of the repair costs. Contact Repair Xpress @ 1-877-581-3733 or Roadrunner Mobility @ 1-800-467-2668 these are 2 excellent service companies that will bill Medicare for repair and have a tech repair the chair for you. Hope this helps
