After starup monitor goes to blank screen
When I start my pc monitor it shows video for about one or two secs and the stays blank. If I hit the power button (on monitor) off and then on monitor displays for one or two secs and then stays blank. I have read some of the forums about the nature of this problem, but dont know where to get these parts everyone is talking about. That is to say resistors, caps, backlight, power supply and invertor etc. I dont see any caps that are exploded or bulging, not sure what to look for at this point. Found no bad solder connections. Could this just be bad backlight bulbs, if so where is a good place to get parts? Hopefully someone can help me with this make and model and perhaps where to find replacement parts. Last question...Can the power supply card be replaced all together as well as the other curcuit board if so where can i find these parts. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide for me.

Have you tried this on more than one PC with the same results?
It sounds like one of 3 things...
1: Power supply bad. really not much sense in replacing, since the cost of a new LCD is comparable
2. if you have tried this on 1 pc and it worked fine on the 2nd pc, you may have a bad video card in the pc itself
3. Check the cable connectors for wear, and try with a spare if you have one handy
Take it to staples or officemax, they can probably have some one look at it and figure out what it is right away. Considering it's a physical problem, we can't do much on the internet. If you take it to Officemax or Staples you can probably also order the parts you need and get a good deal on a repair as well. Sorry your having so much trouble with this! Hope i've helped!
First off how long have you owned the unit and how long have you been having this problem? Being that it is a 19" it may be about the same cost to just purchase a new monitor. Especially when you include the amount of time you will spend and the fact it will still be a used monitor. a new monitor will have a new warranty. You can still sell yours for parts. If you need further assistance let me know. Also please take a moment to accept and rate my solution accordingly.
Thank you,
